[Ambulant-users] linux plugin not recognized

Hello,

I'm trying to install the Ambulant plugin for Linux, but it is not 
recognized.
Here's what I've done (now I'm using gNewSense and IceCat, but I had 
the same problem with Ubuntu Intrepid and Firefox two weeks ago).

sudo cp npambulant.so npambulant.xpt /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npambulant.so 
/usr/lib/icecat-3.0.10-g1/plugins/

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npambulant.xpt 
/usr/lib/icecat-3.0.10-g1/plugins/

Restarted IceCat but no ambulant in the addons (double check: demos 
not working).

So I've tried to put a symbolic link also in this directory:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npambulant.so 
/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npambulant.xpt 
/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/

But it fails to be seen by the browser.
I was tempted to add a symlink also in 
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugin/ but I guess maybe it's not here the 
solution ;-)

Could you please tell me why it doesn't work this way?
