Hello Federico/Nail,

at present the source distribution for Linux is able to provide for the
desktop player only
(after building third party packages and ./configure; make). For
building the plugin, you need
to download from CVS. There is bug report for this (#2946520) but at
present it is not scheduled
to be fixed before release 2.2.0, since there is binary installers for
firefox are now available,
which is not the case for the desktop players.

Bye,

Kees Blom.

in third_party_packages/readme.txt it says:

xulrunner-sdk:
For building AmbulantPlayer as a plugin for Firefox Web
browser, download:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/xulrunner/releases/1.9.0.1/s
dk/xulrunner-1.9.0.1.en-US.XXX.sdk.zip
<http://gmx.com/dereferrer/?target=http%3A%2F%2Freleases.mozilla.org%2Fp
ub%2Fmozilla.org%2Fxulrunner%2Freleases%2F1.9.0.1%2Fsdk%2Fxulrunner-1.9.
0.1.en-US.XXX.sdk.zip>

Maybe your version in the ubuntu repository is not the right one...

Just a hint... Ambulant developers will give a better answer :-)

PS In INSTALL I read:

If you want to build the Firefox plugin you need to add
--with-npambulant. But: you should first read
src/npambulant/README-linux and third_party_packages/readme.txt for
instructions on downloading the Mozilla XPCOM API.

but I can't find src/npambulant/README-linux

I think I have the first 2.2b package (how can I know the version?)

Federico
